Delete Your Account

Your data belongs to you

We believe you should always be in control of your recovery data. If you want to delete your Renovyn account, we make it straightforward. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our systems.

Option 1: Delete from the app

1. Open Renovyn and go to your Profile tab.
2. Tap Settings (gear icon).
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm by entering your email address.
5. Your account and all associated data will be queued for permanent deletion.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to privacy@renovyn.io from the email address associated with your account. Include “Delete my account” in the subject line. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 5 business days.

What gets deleted

• Account information: email address, display name, profile photo, and authentication credentials.
• Recovery data: addiction profiles, sobriety streaks, milestones, daily check-ins, mood tracking, and trigger logs.
• Journal entries: all text and audio journal entries, gratitude entries, and moral inventory records.
• Shield data: shield configuration, quarantined content, event logs, and accountability reports.
• Location data: danger zone coordinates, travel detection settings, and geofence configurations.
• Community data: group memberships, accountability partner connections, and meeting attendance records.
• Financial data: debt tracker entries and payoff progress (if used).

What we retain

• Anonymised analytics: aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to your account. These are retained for product improvement.
• Legal obligations: transaction records required by law (e.g., payment history) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by UK tax regulations.

Deletion timeline

Once you confirm deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and your data becomes inaccessible. All personal data is permanently erased from our systems within 30 days. This includes all backups and replicated storage. Deletion is irreversible — we cannot recover your data after this period.
